 Marvelous Marvis, Massage Therapist is Returning to Mentone in 2010!
January 28th, 2010 Marvelous Marvis As we mentioned in our invitation / information flyer, a very special lady will join us during the retreat. Marvis Burke is a massage therapist in the Chattanooga, TN area. Phronsa and I met her at another scrapbook event back in the spring of 2007, and then she came to Mentone in February of 2008 & 2009. Everyone who took advantage of her amazing talent knows how great she is! WOW! What a precious lady and a wonderful massage experience she gives. After sitting for hours and hours, hunched over a cropping table, she sure can work out the kinks in your shoulder & back muscles. Her fee is only $1.00 per minute and she gives massages in 15 minute increments. So, you can get a 15, 30, 45 minute or even an hour long massage. We will have a sign up sheet in the dining / crop hall when you arrive. Spaces will fill up fast. So, you will need to sign up as soon as you get there. Of course, there will be time blocked off for meals (Marvis has to eat, too) as well as for the prize drawings. Depending on how many are interested in her services, Marvis will be there Saturday from early morning until late that night. If there are more ladies wishing to have a massage than she can accommodate all day and evening on Saturday, she may also come Friday evening, do a few massages, and stay that night ~ getting up to begin massages early Saturday morning. I need to know who is interested in receiving a Marvelous Marvis Massage. PLEASE e-mail me (paulette@notorious-scrapaholics.com) and let me know. You may simply just say, “yes” or “no” OR if you know for sure that you want a 30 minute (or longer) massage, PLEASE tell me that as well. Marvis is happy to come and stay as long as she is needed to make our weekend perfect! She says this is her ministry and she absolutely LOVES people. She loves talking about her Lord and Savior, too. Right now, we need to know an approximate number of ladies wishing to have one so we can tentatively plan Marvis’ schedule. Thanks so much for your prompt attention to this matter. Paulette *I also want to let you know ahead of time that I personally feel that (like my hairdresser); I should tip Marvis at least 15%. She would never EVER ask for that, but I know she will greatly appreciate it. So, I have figured the percentage and that way, anyone who wishes to do this can know it before going for their 15 minutes (or more) of bliss. If you wish to tip 15%, it would be an extra $2.25 per fifteen minutes ($17.25 for a 15 minute massage, $34.50 for a 30 minute massage, $51.75 for a 45 minute massage, and $69.00 for a one hour massage). This is based on a 15% tip. |
